Need help with RedCam Footage?

TRANSCODING RED MEDIA FOR YOUR OFFLINE EDIT
You just received raw RED footage but 4K is too large and unwieldy for you to work with on your offline platform.  Don’t panic…instead, send it to us!

For your Final Cut Pro project, we will transcode the 4K REDcode media and create 2K Apple ProRes 4:2:2 or Apple ProRes 4:2:2 (HQ) Quicktime files for you to work with.  (All 3K media will be reduced to 1.5K).   Or, we can transcode for Avid using the Avid DNXHD 145 and Avid DNXHD 220 codecs.    All metadata necessary for your online edit will be preserved in the transfer process.  

And we are not limited to Avid and Final Cut Pro; there are a wide variety of file formats and resolutions available.  For example, if you simply wish to screen your footage shortly after shooting with the RED camera, we can provide you with lower resolution files online, on DVD’s, or on a drive.

There are also color preprocessing options available, meaning your footage can be slightly color corrected upon ingest.   Making the color correction during the down convert from the 4K source could save you time and money in your workflow.

ONLINE EDITING USING REDCODE MEDIA
We can complete your spots or longform programs using your original RED footage - without needing to transcode the media. This requires a lot more processing power, but that doesn’t scare us: our editing stations are well equipped to handle this type of media.
